Two men have been arrested following a serious incident at a house on the Isle of Wight.

Hampshire and IW Constabulary received a report of an assault at an address on Jellicoe Road in Binstead at around 10.30am on Thursday (October 10).

Officers attended and two men aged 32 and 24, both from Ryde, were arrested at the scene.

The 32-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of assaulting a person thereby occasioning actual bodily harm (ABH) and section 18 grievous bodily harm with intent (GBH).

The 24-year-old was also arrested on suspicion of section 18 GBH with intent. 

Both men were still in police custody yesterday evening (Friday, October 11).

Officers stayed in the area overnight and completed follow-up enquiries yesterday.
