WHEN you are out and about around the Isle of Wight this coming week, be sure to know which roadworks to avoid.
Here is a list of some of the roadworks and associated closures:
VENTNOR: Esplanade will close during utility works, between its junctions with Esplanade Road and the Eastern Esplanade car park, from 7.30pm on Monday until 6pm on Friday, October 26.
BRADING: West Street will shut during utility works, between its junctions with Cross Street and a point 50m south thereof, between 8am on Monday and 4pm on Friday, October 25.
Also, Cross Street will shut during utility works, along its entire length, with a one-way system in place, between 8am on Monday and 4pm on Friday, October 25.
WROXALL: Redhill Lane will close during utility works, between its junctions with Shanklin Road and Appuldurcombe Road, from 9.30am on Monday until the works are completed.
WOOTTON: Firestone Copse Road will shut during carriageway repair works, between its junctions with Firestone Glade and Newnham Lane, over one shift, sometime between Monday and Wednesday.
NETTLESTONE: Barnsley Farm Lane will close during drainage excavation and investigation works, between its junctions with Ryde bridleway 63 and Ryde bridleway 58, over one shift, sometime between Monday and Wednesday.
RYDE: Newport Street will shut during excavation and investigation works, between its junctions with Station Street and West Street, over one shift sometime between Monday and Wednesday.
GODSHILL: Appleford Lane will close during excavation and investigation works, between its junctions with Godshill footpaths 12 and 19, over one shift, sometime between Tuesday and Thursday.
GURNARD: Rew Street will shut during drainage CCTV survey works, between its junctions with Dukes Farm access road and Cowes-East Cowes footpath 20, over one shift, sometime between Wednesday and Friday, October 25.
PORCHFIELD: Whiteoak Lane will close during iron repair work, between its junctions with Underwood Lane and Town Lane, over one shift, sometime between Wednesday and Friday, October 25.
