An Isle of Wight house situated on the edge of a landslip area has sold at auction — for more than its £10 guide price.
The semi-detached property is mere metres away from the landslip-hit Leeson Road in Ventnor.
Listed through First for Auctions, the vacant two-bedroom home was available for cash buyers only.
Although close to the landslip site, the auctioneers said it had sustained 'only minor structural damage' but is in need of refurbishment.

Last month (September), it was listed with a guide price of just £10.
Bidding lasted for one hour and 45 minutes and the property sold for £29,690.
A total of 503 bids were recorded.
