An Isle of Wight woman has been taken to court due to her noisy parrots.
Deborah Jill Hall, 65, lives in the quiet neighbourhood of Jordan Close, Gurnard.
She admitted at the Isle of Wight Magistrates' Court, without reasonable excuse, having contravened or failed to comply with a requirement, namely abate the vocalisation of the parrots, imposed by the notice contrary to section 80 of the Environmental Protection Act 1990.
The noisy period was from August 7, 2023 and February 14, 2024.
Monitoring had been taking place.
Hill was fined £261, and must pay a surcharge of £104 and costs of £150.
The court case was brought by the Isle of Wight Council.
