The Isle of Wight Literary Festival has brought the joy of books to 28 schools.
On October 5 and 6, 18 authors held 78 sessions across the Island, engaging students with a range of topics.
These sessions included fantastical tales for young readers and more challenging discussions for secondary school students.
Andy Stanton, known for the Mr Gum series, inspired attendees with his sessions.
At The Bay Secondary School and Wootton Primary, pupils created comic strips and caricatures with Kev F. Sutherland.
Ra Hennessy, who delivered the schools programme, said: "I loved delivering the programme this year for the festival.
"I’m running it with an even bigger team next year and we have ambitious plans to take it to more schools and home-schooled children on the Island."
Stuart Lawrence, brother of Stephen Lawrence, who was the victim of a racially motivated murder in London, talked to Year 10 and Sixth Form students about the impact of his brother's death and how he has lived his life since.
The programme is free for schools and relies on donations to continue its aim of boosting literacy levels and encouraging a lifelong passion for reading and writing.
Plans are underway to expand the programme throughout the year.
