Emergency teams rushed the scene of a crash at a notorious spot on a main Isle of Wight - for the second time in four days - this afternoon (Monday, October 21).
Hampshire and IW Constabulary were alerted to reports of a single-vehicle crash on Whitwell Road, near its junction with St Lawrence Shute, at around 2pm.
At the scene, officers found a red Vauxhall Corsa buried deep into a hedge at the side of the road.
A spokesperson for the force said no injuries have been reported, and the scene has since been cleared.
The incident comes just days after a serious two-vehicle collision on the same stretch of road around the St Lawrence Shute junction.
Friday's incident (October 18) saw the road closed for several hours.
As previously reported by the County Press, the closure of Whitwell Road left Ventnor with just one way in and out via Wroxall on Newport Road.
