A new DAB radio multiplex licence covering the Isle of Wight has been awarded to Wight Digital Radio CIC.
Ofcom made the announcement about the Community Interest Company, which is made up of Isle of Wight Radio and Vectis Radio, this week.
The new multiplex licence will allow Wight Digital Radio to broadcast on digital radio.
A spokesperson said: "We are delighted that Ofcom has chosen to award the DAB licence for the Island to an Island-based organisation.
"We aim to have our proposed service on the air during 2025 and it will have the capacity to bring more than 20 new and existing radio stations to DAB delivering a choice of creative content to vibrant and loyal radio audience on the Island."
Isle of Wight Radio has been broadcasting for 34 years.
Vectis Radio launched in 2010 as an online-only station and began broadcasting on FM in 2017.
