ISLE of Wight police are appealing for help from the public in identifying a man wanted in connection with a burglary.
Officers were alerted to an incident at Longshoreman's Museum sometime between Tuesday, October 22, and the following morning, wherein someone had gained accessed overnight.
Police say entry was forced to the building and cabinets and other property was damaged.
Money was also taken from the till.
Since the report, officers have been carrying out enquiries and are now in a position to release an image of a man they would like to speak with as part of their investigation.
“We know it is not the best image, however, we are hoping someone may recognise him,” said a spokesperson for the force.
“Officers believe the man in the image may have valuable information to assist our investigation.
“If this is you, or you know this man, please call police on 101, quoting 44240461391.
“You can also submit information to us online.”
