It is time for Operation Christmas Child – Shoebox Appeal 2024.

Altitude Church in Sandown is working with Samaritans Purse/Operation Christmas Child to send boxes to children in need in poorer countries.

Members and friends from Altitude Church and other churches plan to make up several boxes which will be shipped in the next few weeks to children who have nothing in various countries around the world.

The boxes will contain school supplies, toiletries and toys.

Last year the majority of our boxes went to Belarus, Serbia and the Balkans.

Check out www.samaritans-purse.org.uk to see what you can put in a box and then hand your box in at one of the collection centres.

Anyone in the community is welcome to contribute towards the boxes either financially or by making a box.

Places open on the IW to receive boxes between November 11and November 28 are 45 Alfred Road, Lake (by prior appointment on 408266 or 07835486128 to make sure someone is in), or The Entertainer toy shop in Newport.
