Speeding.

Kristian Venn, 44, of Benett Street, Ryde.

Drug driving, possession of cannabis, failure to provide a specimen for analysis.

Fine £120, costs £400, surcharge £114, 18-month community order, to include 25 rehabilitation days, 24-month driving disqualification.  

Joshua Begg, 21, of Birch Gardens, Binstead.

Driving while disqualified, drug driving, using a motor vehicle without insurance, possession of cannabis.

Costs £85, £114, 18-month community order, to include ten rehabilitation days and 100 hours of unpaid work, 36-month driving disqualification.

Simon North, 50, of Shore Road, Bonchurch.

Harassment without violence.

Costs £85, 12-month community order, to include 25 rehabilitation days and 75 hours of unpaid work.

Paula Wagstaff, 38, of Downsview, Sandown.

Assault occasioning actual bodily harm.

Costs £85, surcharge £114, 18-month community order, to include 25 rehabilitation days and 100 hours of unpaid work.

Ivy King, 24, of High Street, Ventnor.

Drink driving.

Costs £50, surcharge £140, fine £350, 17-month driving disqualification.

Vanessa Richardson, 69, of New Road, Brading.

Drink driving.

Costs £85, surcharge £48, fine £120, 17-month driving disqualification.

When a court is sitting in the open, the press can report on anything that happens, unless there are specific reporting restrictions.

As a principle, we do not remove a defendant's identifying information (such as name, age and address) from court reports. To do so would be set a precedent and damage the foundations of open justice. It could also defame someone innocent, who happens to have the same name.
