IN THE Wessex Premier Division, Cowes Sports will be hoping to bounce back from their narrow 1-0 loss at home to Lymington Town.
The Cowes side have endured a difficult start to the new campaign, taking seven points from a possible 30, but a win against fellow strugglers Shaftesbury could see them mid-table and well in the ascendancy.
They then face fourth-place Fareham Town on Tuesday — a difficult assignment on the road before an easier fixture at home to Bashley next week.
Over in Division One, Newport are looking to rediscover the pre-lockdown form which saw them knocking on the door for a top-four finish.
Having lost 4-2 to a Hythe & Dibden side hot on their tails, they now face fourth-place Andover Town, and a win would see them leapfrog the hosts.
Fellow Division One side, East Cowes Vics, face even greater opposition in the form of second-place Alton.
The Vics are fresh off the back of a 6-2 drubbing away to thirteenth-place Fawley AFC, and looking to galvanise themselves with a big win on home turf.
