ALL THREE Wessex League clubs are in action, with game at the moment vital at both ends of their respective league tables.

Cowes Sports — fresh from their 2-0 win against mid-table Brockenhurst at Westwood Park on Saturday — face 12th placed Christchurch at home, hoping to edge themselves a little further away from trouble in the Premier.

In Division 1, second-placed Newport will be hoping to bounce back from their weekend setback against New Milton Town, who leapfrogged them after a 1-0 reverse.

Tonight, Port will be aiming to get back to winning ways when they entertain Fawley at Smallbrook Stadium.

Anything other than a Newport win could harm their prospects of automatic promotion.

At the other end of the table, East Cowes Vics will be keen to continue their revival away at second bottom Amesbury Town — a place below them.

Vics, who looked dead and buried a few weeks ago and written off as almost certain for relegation, have picked up ten points from their last four games, to bring them in touch with a pack of struggling clubs.

Victory for East Cowes could see them rise as many as four places in the table, if results go their way.

They beat Folland Sports 2-1 on Saturday. They were one of the season's early front runners and just missed out on promotion last season.

All games kick off at 7.45pm.
