STEVEN Jurd was in a class of his own — shooting his way to the top of the podium in Newport Isle of Wight and District Rifle Club's Easter competition.
Club members descended on Jersey Camp in Newtown to take part in the popular 300m F-class Easter shoot on Sunday.
After zeroing, competitors engaged two targets — firing ten rounds at each.
The F-class discipline is the pinnacle of modern target shooting, with competitors using state-of-the-art equipment to achieve extreme accuracy at long range.
Steven beat Alan Foxworthy into second place, with Martin Potter third.
