FOUR Wight Tri athletes from the Isle of Wight crossed The Solent to take part in the Chichester Triathlon Festival, with all performing well on a tough course.
Super vet, Glyn Jenkins, was first off in the Sprint Triathlon event — a 400m pool swim, 33km cycle and 5km run — and had a super race to win his 70-74 age group in 2.01.39, nearly 23 minutes ahead of his nearest rival.
Loic Le Floc and Mike Kimber chose the longer standard triathlon event — 600m swim, 42km cycle and 10km run.
Loic finished in 2.40.35, to finish fifth in the Vet 50-54 category.
Meanwhile, Mike completed his race in 2.:43.04 to take a super third in the Vet 55-59 age group.
Michaela Heathcote competed in the Aquabike Sprint event — a 400m pool swim and 33km cycle.
Posting a super 2.16.3, Michaela came third overall and won the Vet 55-59 category.
