ON A wet and windy Isle of Wight evening, Rob Johnson had what it takes to win this year's GO TRI Totland Aquathlon.
The event, which took place on Totland waterfront, comprised a 300m sea swim and a choice of one or two laps of a 2.5km run to Colwell Bay and back.
Braving very rough sea conditions, then windy and wet on the run, were 12 competitors.
First out was Henry Morgan, closely followed by ex-GB triathlete Mark Sharp, who ran as a team.
They won the nominated times event —only 26 seconds inside their nominated time of 27 minutes dead.
Henry and his mum, Sophie, completed the swim and short run in 18.02 — 58 seconds inside their time.
The first individual closest to their nominated time — and keeping it in the family — was Dan Morgan in 28.39, which was 1.21 faster than anticipated.
Fastest on the night was Rob Johnson, who completed the 300m swim and 5km run in a fast time of 25.21, closely followed by new member, Chris Till, in 25.49.
Arielle Elton-Walters was the fastest female in 36.40.
