The Military Road Open 35km time trial gets underway tomorrow (Sunday), with all money raised going to Mountbatten.
Those wanting a challenging but enjoyable morning’s ride, with the bonus of helping a great cause, will be getting ready to take on the course from 9.30am.
With organisers describing the course as challenging but achievable, the event boasts some great prizes and trophies for the category winners and podium finishers.
Julie Cooper, race organiser, said: “We’ve had such a fantastic season, and it’s been great to see so many riders of all ages and abilities signing up to race and improve on their times over the year.
“So far, we have raised over £2,000 for our partner charity, Mountbatten, through entry fee donations and raffle ticket prices.
“We hope to hit our target on the day of Military Road TT when we also hold our annual Grand Draw for this worthwhile cause.”
Riders will set off from Freshwater Tesco car park, travel along Military Road, turn around at the Blackgang roundabout and finish at the car park after Compton Farm.
