For the second time this season, Wight Wolves headed to Gosport after Farnborough were unable to host their touch tournament last month.

In a gesture of great comradery, the Wight Wolves and New Milton shared players to make a combined New Wolves team after both teams could not muster enough players.

The first match saw the Wolves take on Bognor. Ace scored a try down the wing within three minutes, which was followed by three tries from Phoebe, resulting in a 4-0 victory.

Gosport and Fareham were up next, with the opposition scoring one try in each half, seeing the Wolves fall 2-0.

The Wolves managed to keep their match against Fordingbridge - who went on to win the tournament - at 0-0 for the first half, only going down by two tries in the second.

Facing Winchester, a first-half try from a New Milton player was enough to win 1-0. The Wolves took on Andover next and lost 1-0 following a first-half try.

In their final match, the Wolves played Aldershot and Fleet, with Phoebe’s first-half try not enough to hold back their opponents in a 3-1 defeat.

Finishing fifth, the Players’ Payer of the Match went to Mary, who excelled in their first tournament after only three training sessions, and the Wolfiest Wolf award to Phoebe for displaying perfect TREDS rugby conduct.
