East Cowes Vics match report by Russ Chapman:
Vics welcomed Ringwood to Beatrice Avenue and having won eight consecutive league games were in confident mood.
Ringwood started brightly and Lee Vint came close on 7 minutes, a minute later Alex Ram saved from Jamie Wintle.
Vics first effort on 10 minutes was a shot from Caleb Neale that was blocked.
Ringwood were forced into an early substitution , Will Lambert off with an injury replaced by Lewis Crumpler.
Ringwood took the lead in the 16th minute, a pinpoint cross fell to the head of LEE VINT and he made no mistake from 6 yards. 0-1.
Vics were unlucky two minutes later, a ball over the top for the running Josh Neale was cleared by the keeper, the ball hit Neale and the ricochet went agonisingly wide.
Ringwood were causing all sorts of problems and after Ben Harris’s effort was saved by Ram, Ringwood's next attack resulted in a penalty after Liam Newbold high foot caught Vint. Vint stepped up to take the penalty but Ram made a superb save.
Ram was caught flat footed when a cross from substitute LEWIS SUMPTER sailed over the Vics' keeper’s head and into the top corner. 0-2
Jacob Reynolds could have pulled one back in the 43rd minute but his effort went wide. Vics did pull one back before half time a great move saw Caleb Neale pull the ball across for JACOB REYNOLDS to stab home.1-2
Vics had to buck up in the second half and they gave it their best shot.
Caleb Neale's header seemed to be handled on 77 minutes but the ref was on the spot and gave a corner.
Jacob Reynolds' effort from 20 yards sailed wide, Caleb Neale's cross come shot was cleared off of the line and a free kick from Josh Neale went inches wide.
Vics were destined not to get that equaliser and six minutes into added time Ringwood broke and the ball somehow fell to BRANDON CHESTER who tapped home.
