Wight Eagles Ladies were in action on Sunday as they took on Pace Women's.
Wight Eagles managed to secure an emphatic victory, beating the visiting side 5-0.
The Eagles started off the first half the stronger side, building up patterns of play and maintaining possession.
Early chances weren't taken by Ellena Boakes and Abi Joyce, but pressure was increasing on the Pace defence after four corners and a goal line clearance.
However, it wasn't long until the deadlock was broken, with Ellena BOAKES scoring a free kick into the Pace goal's top corner to make it 1-0.
Shortly after, substitute Georgia DYE made it 2-0 to the Eagles after an opening up in play.
It wasn't long until a third goal went for the home side, with Kira Smith breaking down the right hand side, crossing for Abi JOYCE to finish with her first touch.
A fourth was netted by Jess GREEN, making it 4-0 at half time.
The second half saw the Island side assume control, with the Pace not looking troublesome to the Eagles.
Kira SMITH sealed the game off with a fifth goal for the home side, smashing her shot into the top corner.
Eagles' manager Dan Verstraeten said: "The ladies worked extremely hard at training mid week to try to adapt to the style we want to play this season."
"The passage of play along with the possession was incredible.
"The goals were fantastic and it's really great to get a clean sheet and three points on the board."
